Palm Beach Monthly Meeting is excited to invite all Friends and attenders in SEYM to attend their Annual Retreat, Friday evening February 3rd, all day Saturday February 4th, and Sunday morning February 5th, 2017.
The topic will be:
“Living In Community – the beauty, the challenges, and how to survive gracefully.“
We were Spirit led to our two leaders who are well known, weighty Quakers – Jennifer Karsten and her husband, Michael Gagne. Jennifer is the Executive Director of Pendle Hill, where they reside. Jennifer says,
“Because we are both committed to lifelong education, and visioning/creating new societal structures, we often draw on experiences of living in small and large communities as we teach. There are community/group dynamics that emerge as patterns and we find that it’s helpful for communities to know about these ‘norms’ in order to move out of patterns that can keep them stuck, and embrace new (healthier) ways of being”.
For over 20 years, Michael’s vocation has been to help people live more fulfilling lives, enjoy healthier relationships, and create a more just and sustainable society. Their credentials and background are impressive and can be found on the Internet.
If you wish to attend, please e-mail Lisa Stewart, or call her at 561-713-7053.
