Arthur Larrabee Workshop at St. Petersburg Meeting, February 10 & 11
St. Petersburg Friends invite SEYM Friends to attend “Friends Decision-making and Clerking: Serving the Community with Joy and Confidence,” a workshop led by Arthur Larrabee, renowned teacher on clerking and Quaker Business Meetings. The workshop will cover many aspects of Meeting for Business, including the spiritual basis of Friends Decision-making, the decision-making process, the conduct of the Meeting for Business, as well as the roles of those present, of the clerk, and of committees.

When: Friday, Feb. 10th, 7-9 pm & Saturday, Feb. 11th, 9 am – 4 pm (with lunch provided)

Overnight hospitality: We will find as many homestays among our members and attenders as possible. St. Petersburg is full of relatively inexpensive hotels. If need be, we will help participants find one. Let us know when you register if you need hospitality.
Arthur Larrabee is a lawyer (no longer in active practice), and currently a consultant and workshop leader in the field of Quaker decision-making. From 1970 through 1993, Arthur practiced law in Philadelphia. He served as General Secretary of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting from 2007 to 2014, and as Clerk of Central Philadelphia Monthly Meeting, Clerk of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting, Clerk of the Board of Trustees of Westtown School, a Trustee of the University of Pennsylvania, President of Pennsylvania Opera Theater, and a Director of Friends Fiduciary Corporation.
Arthur is a life-long Friend and a member of Central Philadelphia Monthly Meeting. He is a graduate of Westtown School (1960), Yale University (1967) and the University of Pennsylvania Law School (1970).
