Discernment Workshop March 9th

Discernment, a workshop presented by Jerry Knutson (Orlando Meeting), will be held online on Tuesday, March 9th, at 6:30-8:00 pm EST.

Jerry authored the Pendle Hill Pamphlet #443, Individual Spiritual Discernment: Receiving, Testing and Implementing Leadings from a Higher Power, which sold out in just 14 months, making it Pendle Hill’s bestseller.

In this workshop based on the pamphlet, participants will learn how to make hard decisions, and be led on a guided meditation to discern a question or to better understand an issue, situation, or relationship. (These are new and will be included in the next edition of the pamphlet.) The workshop will also include small groups to worship share on the guided meditation, a couple of ways to test the guidance, a way to implement the guidance, information on spiritual practices, and small groups to worship share on “What Daily Spiritual Practice am I currently doing and/or want to start doing?”

Jerry has prepared this handout, which serves as an outline and resource for the workshop, with sections on:

  • Why are hard decisions so hard?
  • Definition of discernment
  • Receiving guidance—the holistic method
  • Guided Meditation on the Holistic Method
  • Testing the guidance
  • Implementing the guidance
  • Spiritual Practices

Registration is required to receive the Zoom login information. The workshop is free.
