Child Safety Trainings in September

photo: Mira Tanna

The SEYM Child Abuse Prevention Program (CAPP) training, which lasts about an hour, teaches best practices in caring for different youth age groups. It is designed to give Friends the tools they need to create a positive program environment, prevent and recognize bullying and other inappropriate behavior, and deal with conduct problems.

Two CAPP training sessions will be offered in September, via Zoom:

  • Saturday, September 2nd, at 10 am Eastern
  • Wednesday, September 6th, at 6:30 pm Eastern

Who is the training for?

Friends who wish to help with our youth program at SEYM events need to take the training, as part of becoming a CAPP registered SEYM Youth Worker. You can go ahead and take the training, and then send in your application form. Learn more>

Monthly Meetings are encouraged to make use of the availability of this training, and consider whether to require Friends who work with their youth to be CAPP trained. If you would prefer to attend this training as a meeting, please contact Cheryl Demers-Holton.

Friends who wish to help create a safe and caring community for children are welcome to attend.

If you have any questions, please contact Cheryl Demers-Holton, CAPP Coordinator.
