SEYM Community Preparedness

May 21, 2024 | Earthcare, News

One aspect of climate resilience is being prepared for disasters. SEYM Friends have met online to discuss how individuals, families, Meetings, Worship Groups, and our wider communities can respond when facing extreme events such as hurricanes, storms, rising temperatures, or other hardships.

There will be a second forum that will meet again on Thursday, May 23, at 7 pm. Please join us!

Field Secretary for Earthcare Beverly Ward has prepared a narrated slideshow from the first discussion on community preparedness. The video recommends an “all hazards model” when preparing for extreme events. Additional information included are the slidedeck and notes from the discussion.
