3 Child Safety Trainings offered in October & November

Large meeting of Friends
The SEYM Child Abuse Prevention Program (CAPP) training, which lasts about an hour, teaches basic best practices in caring for different youth age groups. It is designed to give Friends the tools they need to create a positive program environment, prevent and recognize bullying and other inappropriate behavior, and deal with conduct problems.

CAPP Coordinator Cheryl Demers-Holton is offering Child Abuse protection trainings online to individuals or groups October and November:

  • Saturday October 19th at 9am Eastern
  • Wednesday November 6th at 7 pm Eastern
  • Saturday November 16th at 9 am Eastern

Can’t make it on any of these days? No problem! Just let Cheryl know and she can set up another time that works best for you or your group.

To register for any of these training sessions,
or to ask any questions you may have,
please email Cheryl.

Who is the training for?

Monthly Meetings are encouraged to make use of the availability of this training, and consider whether to require Friends who work with their youth to be CAPP trained, or to be SEYM CAPP registered (CAPP Registration requires going through background and reference checks in addition to taking the training.
